Lean Six Sigma: lessons from industry leaders
The popularity of operational improvement programmes based on well-known methods such as Lean and Six Sigma is on the rise. In spite of their increasing familiarity with these promising programmes, companies are still finding it difficult to make Lean Six Sigma a permanent part of their DNA as they break away from the ad hoc improvement project approach and embrace a culture based on continuous improvement.
Survey
IG&H has surveyed the experiences of Dutch manufacturers in this area. How are their improvement programmes structured? What are their experiences with changing the company culture? How do they make improvement a permanent part of their operations? And what are the success factors and pitfalls?
Report
This report contains the results of the survey as well as setting out the vision of IG&H, which is based in part on our own experiences with various improvement projects. An inspiring read for manufacturers and providers of logistics services seeking to transform themselves into customer-focused and efficient companies.
