IG&H plays an important role in the integration of Fortis and ABN AMRO
The challenge
In just one year IG&H helped integrate the retail banking activities of Fortis with those of ABN AMRO. IG&H Consulting & Interim supported ABN AMRO and Fortis with a team of consultants in eight different areas of the integration: streamlining the product portfolios, aligning risk management systems, Coordinating the legal merger, implementing a new mortgage advisory service, integrating the head office of the retail bank.
Our impact
IG&H also played an important role in setting up a successful ‘business command center’, a temporary part of the organisation focused resolving on all business-related migration issues quickly and effectively. IG&H’s pragmatism and carefully structured approach meant each integration project went smoothly and successfully. Helped significantly by the ability of all the IG&H consultants involved to resolve any problems efficiently and in particular to combine the different layers of management and cultures whilst maintaining a clear focus on identifying the key aspects of what actually needed to be done.
